Cookie policy
Every cookie Rapid Cart sets is listed below. The essential ones keep you signed in and are always on. Everything else only runs if you agree, and we ask before setting any of it.
The three measurement cookies are ours alone. They hold a date, a channel name and a trial number — none of them is an identifier, and none can single you out.
The advertising ones belong to Reddit's pixel, a small script from Reddit that tells us whether our ads on Reddit lead to visits, signups and guide downloads. When it runs, Reddit receives the pages you visit here and those events, along with your browser's usual details such as its IP address, and may connect them to a Reddit account you are signed in to. We do not give Reddit your name or email address. Reddit uses this under its own privacy policy. It never runs on sellers' order pages.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| authjs.session-token | Essential | Keeps sellers signed in to their dashboard. Set only after login; not used for tracking. | 30 days |
| authjs.csrf-token | Essential | Proves a form submission came from our own page, which is what stops another site submitting it on your behalf. | Until the browser closes |
| rc-consent | Essential | Remembers whether you agreed to the measurement and advertising cookies below, so we neither set them against your wishes nor ask you again on every page. | 6 months |
| rc-form-view | Essential | Set only if you choose "Show the whole form" on an order form, so a phone shows you the whole form instead of one question at a time for the rest of your visit. Holds the word 'whole'. | Until the browser closes |
| rc-visit | Analytics | Records that this browser has already been counted in today's visitor total, so one person is not counted twice. Holds a date and nothing else — no identifier, and nothing that can single you out. | 24 hours |
| rc-attribution | Analytics | Remembers which link brought you here, so we can tell which of our own posts and ads are worth continuing. Holds a channel name, not an identifier. | 30 days |
| rc-ab-variant | Analytics | Keeps you on the same version of the homepage when we are trialling two, so the page does not change under you between visits. Holds a trial number and either 'a' or 'b'. | 30 days |
| rc-signup-event | Advertising | Set for a few minutes after you create an account, so the Reddit pixel below can record the signup on the next page. Deleted as soon as it has been read. | 10 minutes |
| _rdt_uuid | Advertising | Set by Reddit's pixel. A random identifier that lets Reddit tell whether someone who saw or clicked one of our ads on Reddit later visited, signed up or downloaded a guide, so we can see which ads work. | 90 days |
| _rdt_cid | Advertising | Set by Reddit's pixel when you arrive from one of our Reddit ads. Holds Reddit's identifier for that click, for the same purpose. | 90 days |
